Asian beef salad

  • 300g Fillet steak sliced.
  • 3 shallots finely chopped
  • Coriander leaves
  • Thai basil leaves
  • Marinade
  • 2 Tablespoons of oyster sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon palm sugar or honey
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seed oil
  • Dressing
  • 1 Lemongrass stalk, tough outer leaves removed and finely chopped
  • 1 Long red chilli, deseeded and finely chopped
  • 1 Thai green chilli, deseeded and finely chopped
  • 1 Clove of garlic finely chopped
  • 2 Table spoons of fish sauce
  • Juice of 3 limes
  • Mix the marinade ingredients and stir in the beef
  • Place all the dressing ingredients in a little bowl or jug
  • Put a little sesame oil in a frying pan and fry the shallot and the beef on a highish heat.
  • Remove from the heat and pour the sauce over.
  • Garnish with the leaves
