Baked Ham in Orange Juice

  • One large uncooked, cured Gammon (smoked or unsmoked) 2-3Kg
  • One Litre Orange Juice
  • One red Apple
  • One Conference Pear
  • One cinnamon stick
  • Around a dozen whole cloves
  • Pre-heat the oven to 160°
  • Place the gammon in a large, deep, baking pan.
  • Add the Orange juice to the pan
  • Slice the apple & pear into segments and add to the pan
  • Add the cinnamon stick
  • Add the whole cloves
  • Stir the mix then cover with a lid
  • Cook in the oven for 3 hours
  • Remove and allow to stand for around 15 minutes or so
  • Only carve the number of slices you need
  • Store the leftovers in the orange, apple and pear liquid in a fridge
