Burger with Ginger

  • 500g finest mince beef
  • 1 tea spoon of mustard powder
  • 1 dessert spoon of dark soya sauce
  • 1 tea spoon of Worcester Sauce
  • 1cm knob of very finely chopped fresh ginger
  • 1 table spoon of vegetable oil
  • Slices of mature cheddar cheese
  • Slices of Buffalo tomato
  • Thin slices of red onion
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Mix the ingredients in a large bowl (not the cheese) using your hands
  • Divide the mixture into 4 and kneed each burger into shape and put in the fridge for 15 mins
  • Heat the oil in a frying pan then fry each burger on either side until lightly browned
  • Heat the oven to 180°C
  • Place the burgers on a tray and put in the oven. Cook for around 10 minutes or longer if you prefer them well done
  • Place a slice of cheese on top of each burger and return to the over for a minute or so.
  • Take out of the oven and serve immediately with lettuce, tomato and red onion
